You will fill me with joy in your presence. —Psalm 16:11 (ɴɪᴠ)
My all-time favorite movie is one that most people typically associate with the Christmas season. But not me! I watch It’s a Wonderful Life all through the year. I’ve probably seen it more than 300 times!
In one of my favorite scenes, God has a conversation about George Bailey with an awkward, second-class angel named Clarence.
Billy Graham once said, “The Christian life is not a constant high. I have my moments of deep discouragement. I have to go to God in prayer with tears in my eyes and say, ‘Help me.’ ”
Are you discouraged today? Maybe you’re battling with depression. Maybe you can relate to the girl who wrote me recently from a college dorm room asking, “Why do I even exist?”
Psalm 16:11 says, “You will fill me with joy in your presence.” Step into God’s presence today. Stay in God’s presence today. Pour out your heart to Him. He will bring you out of this darkness and show you how real His joy truly is.
